Abstract

An Italian multi-specialty clinical centre providing both inpatient and outpatient services mainly aimed at neurological patients provides knowledge, facilities and labs to test and validate technological innovation in clinical context. The clinic seeks R&D institutions and/or innovative SMEs willing to certificate their results and products, in order to provide scientific evidences of their solutions under technical or commercial agreement with technical assistance.

Description

The Italian clinic is active in the analysis of movement (lower and upper limbs) and in the assessment of and kinematics, kinetics and spatiotemporal parameters of walking speed and gait related parameters (step counts, time walking, gait characteristics, time sitting/standing/walking, and cadence) of neurological patients (Stroke, Parkinson disease (PD), Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), etc.).

The clinic could provide conditions, facilities and labs to test and validate technological innovation ranging from TRL 5 to TRL 8 in clinical context.
For this purpose, in the basement of this structure are located equipment and spaces useful for:
• functional evaluation (motion lab)
• ambient assisted living setting (living lab)
• cognitive and functional rehabilitation

This infrastructure has been selected by the authorities of Lombardy Region for a Pre-Commercial Procurement tender aiming at testing and validating a mechatronic system for the rehabilitative motor therapy in neurological patients with rehabilitative motor disability and neurological patients with motor disability of the upper limb.

The Clinic is looking for R&D institutions and innovative SMEs willing to certificate their products, in order to guarantee scientific evidences of their solutions under technical or commercial agreement with technical assistance.

Facilities to access to the Italian market could be added according to a specific exploitation plan, to be drafted taking into consideration the characteristics of the local market (public and/or private) in Lombardia region.
