Abstract
A German startup develops a preventive security system for parked trucks in road freight traffic to address increasing cargo theft damages. The company is looking for contacts to trucking companies with cross-border road freight transport interested to test the pilot system in a technical cooperation agreement.
Description
Cargo theft is an increasing issue for logistics and transportation providers, especially during cross-border truck transports with overnight stops. Cargo theft causes a significant damage: Loss of goods, delivery delays, repair costs and production losses.
A Northern German startup develops a preventive security system for parked trucks in road freight traffic. The system is built as a hardware, software and service combined product to ensure a full-service security solution for customers. With optimized radar sensors it creates a detection area in the near field of the truck, a detection algorithm enables analysis of movement patterns of persons to potentially initiate security measures. Different levels of danger are recognised and perpetrators are deterred before damage occurs. Depending on the incident, different measures are initiated. Bright lights and an alarm are switched on to attract attention. In addition, the driver is notified and a camera is switched on.
Once reaching market readiness the full-service security solution can be booked in a subscription model including installation, operation and support of the system. Additional services like security predictions for route planning or risk analysis for certain regions can be booked in a premium plan.
A demonstrator of the system is currently being tested with local partners. Soon the startup will be able to install the demonstrator at international pilot partners fleets.
The company is looking for contacts to trucking companies with cross-border road freight transport interested in a technical cooperation agreement for testphase. The partner should test the pilot system under real conditions during overnight transports and contribute with his feedback to further development in partnership.
