Description
The founder of the UK software company previously worked as a Human Factors Consultant where their focus was on improving performance and ease of use in digital and physical systems in the nuclear, medical and rail industries. They have 10 years of experience in programming and have become increasingly frustrated with the time it takes to get informative feedback when creating code. They identified that the existing editing loop experienced by programmers is both time consuming and can take programmers out of a state of flow.
In response to this issue, the founder has created a UK software company, which has developed a programming tool which compiles, runs, and debugs the code that users are working on to give instant feedback side-by-side with their favourite editor. The programming tool is also able to represent abstract execution information which would otherwise have to be visualised in the mind of the programmer.
When creating new code, the programming tool automatically compiles and inspects the functions being worked on in the background. The program then compares the return values and internal behaviour for different parameters. The programmer can instantly see the state of the data wherever their cursor is in the code and they can dig into any data’s history of changes, enabling them to see where and how the values changed.
